For no other reason that having too many bikes, the CRF230 is on the sale list. I literally have too many bikes, 3 Kawis, 1 Yamaha, 1 Suzuki, 1 Harley, 2 Hondas and soon another Kawi. I have an addiction to bikes that my garage cannot handle.
Here's what I've done to the bike:
-New Maxxis Tires with only one ride on them
-New rear aluminum sprocket
-New Renthal handlebars with new grips
-Re-jet with the advice from the good people here
-new Uni air filter
-Changed to fork oil for better performance

I've ridden the bike no more than 5 or 6 times and it runs great as well as looks great.
I'm in the bay area in California....
