Ok let me give it to you strait. when a power up kit is installed you MUST complete the entire mod.
main jet, power up needle, snorkel and baffle.
if the mod is not completed you will eventually burn the motor.
of corse if your carb is filled with dirt then you must fix that first.
ok lets recap.
1) you were not the one who installed the mod. (if i remember). so you really cant be sure if the jet and needle are the right ones.
2) you have an after market pipe so it should not have a baffle,
3) pull the snorkel and the ring that holds it in.
4) you will want a free flowing replacement air filter (from Crf's Only). but a clean stock filter will work for now.
if the bike runs like poh then i would buy and install a new power up kit from Honda. they are only $40.
the power up mod is designed for a stock motor with a stock pipe. your bike (and mine) has a high prefomance pipe which is better than a stock pipe with the baffle removed. adjusting the fuel/air screw is the best way to retune to the new pipe. Honda has decided we are not to adjust the stock fuel/air screw with out first buying a special tool
