For those of us that are outside of the area, would you mind telling us a little more about the riding area?

Looks like a nice place, are the trails all that wide? Good place for kids to come along?

I live in SC and am interested in finding places to camp and make weekend trips...

    Sure guys, no problem.

From Knoxville go north on I-75 for about 45 minutes. At Exit 141, turn right, and right again. This is the frontage road along the east side of I-75, and will take you about a mile up to the parking area.

There are some technical areas and some creek crossings, but the majority of it seems to be well suited for beginers. This was my first time up there.

You have to have a Tennessee hunt/fish license and a WMA stamp. Total cost is 40 bucks at you neighborhood Wal-Mart.

No requirements for gear but in my own opinion I would always recommend wearing both boots and a roost guard, as well as other protective gear.
