Im about the same wieght, i tightened my back shock all the way and its fine, it was even fine before that. The front shocks will definetly bottom out so be careful with landing on the front of the bike, (you shouldnt be anyway)

I bought a Motion Pro shock wrench, but the tool was stamped, not forged or machined so I found a hammer and screwdriver worked better. Jack the bike up, take the air box off. Loosen the top nut first then lower the bottom nut.

removing the airbox is a snap. disconnect the boot from the carb, then there is a bolt on the bottom behind the frame, you don't need to take this one out just free it and the box will slide out. use wd40. the shock nuts are not hard either, you don't need to beat the crap out of them.
i'm 6'2" after i lowered the shock nuts the bike now cradles a different set of nuts nicely.

I'm 200lbs. give or take a little. I tightened mine up last summer and made a big diff. for me. It raised the seat about an 1in. and I was clearing my friend while he sat on his quad. Make sure to put the rear tire down first!!!

One of the guys I ride with has an 06 and he blew the shock this weekend just trail riding it. It was raced befor he got it, but not much. He only rode it a few times since he got it because its still winter here. I would be carful if I were you, and deffinetly adjust your suspention
