    Go Johnny,
Those aircooled motors take you back I bet. They do for me.
Of course they were 2 smokers unless you had some heavy pommy 4 stroke.

I just bought a like new 2015 Honda CRF-230F. I love this bike, lots of fun to play around on, it has electric start, a kickstand and it is a very good little trail bike. People just need to realize it is not a motocross bike and never will be, but it really is a very reliable trail bike. If you want more power I suggest you go buy a Honda CR-500, hold the throttle wide open and shift. Then you should be impressed. You could spend a small fortune trying to make the CRF-230F faster and mainly end up with a smaller bank account and a very loud motorcycle with a little more power. I am leaving mine stock except for Renthal Bars, Acerbis Rally Pro Hand Guards, and a Works Connection Skid Plate. No pipe or power up kit for me. My bike starts right up and I can turn the choke off in about 1 minute and the bike runs great. I just plan on changing the oil, cleaning the air filter, basic maintenance and having fun trail riding a very good Honda motorcycle on my property in the mountains of NC.
