Backfire screen

    Backfire screen

    When rejetting, removing baffle, and opening airbox do you leave backfire screen as is or cut it out? 06 230.

    we didn't on my friends bikes and they ran great , but some people don't recomend it.

    I left mine in.
    If you have seen a filter fire you would too.

    That said if you use a filter foam that is fire proof(get it in writing from the maker not the saleperson) then you should flow more air.

    Just keep servicing the filter regularly and replace it when it first starts to go bad.
