Which handlebars are better Pro taper or Renthal? Which ones are lighter?

I'm not sure on the weight but I can assure you the difference is minimal. My feelings on the subject are that the choice is personal preference.I really like the vibration resitance of the pro-tapers without a crossbar.I choose renthal simply becaust they offer a bend that I feel suits me better than what pro-taper has to offer.

Pro-taper is supposedly a stronger bar, but like I said get whatever bars you feel you will be most comforatable with.

I'm glad someone brought up handlebars... My boy has got a 06 230F. Looking to get him new bars. By the looks of it, to me, to upgrade to an oversize bar. The triple clamp needs to be replaced? Or is there a way a oversize clamp kit can be used? Little help for a newbie.

Protaper makes an oversize bar adaptor/clamp for the CRF 230. About $ 50.00.
