I will be mounting an X headlight on my wife's 230 shortly, and will do a pic -how to do. I ordered a BD switch that is a kill/off/low/hi beam model that looks like good quality. I am going to wire the power right from the battery with fused protection, as we are smart enough not to leave the headlight on. It looks like I will have to drill the upper triples for a place to mount the headlight, and probably use a short bracket each side. Check back in a week or two for the post, I think its gonna look bitchin on her black 230.

Nope. Stock X headlight, but I think my wife will want a number this time too. I'll try to get r done this weekend, I only have about 20 chores before that one but we are going out 12/16 to the dez so it will be done before then.

I mounted an X headlight on my 230 but I didn't relocate my "black box" and the headlight stuck out too far and looked stupid. I was waiting for someone else to do it and post up how they did it.

$75.00 I didn't haggle its in near perfect condition and from a fellow CRF's member. The BD switch is $25=$100 mod, but I think it will look slicker than an aftermarket which would be as much work to install and not look as good IMO.

You need to move the rev box under the gas tank. If you don't it doesn't fit right. It should look like it came stock on the bike. I put one on my wifes 230 and it looks like it was made for the bike.

Got a pic OM? I just fabricated the bottom bracket, the paint is drying on it now, the wiring and top brackets come tomorrow, when I have to figure out the rev box thing. I realized with the Reger clamps and CR 85 forks my mods will not work on a stock bike, but I will post pics to give people some ideas.
