I guess I did a poor job of writing it KD.
Here is the full quote from what I wrote.

oldtimer wrote:KD the info is from Honda. Or as Honda would like it to be called “The newsletterâ€￾.
    The correct one should be:
    Bulletin Number 110102.
The title is FULL POWER PARTS
    The date is 11/1/2002
However not added to NHTSA database until 3/19/2004
If you want to read it you will have to pay. I have already at the dealer.
    .

When I said “if you want to read it you will have to payâ€￾ I was referring to logging into NHTSA’s database or alldata.com or http://www.nopork.com/tsb.asp. To view the TSB online.
I then went on to say “I had already at the dealerâ€￾ I meant to say I had already read the article at the dealer. As a matter of fact the same you just posted.
I see how it would mislead you to think I had paid to view it.

I’m glad you did get a copy. The guys at my dealer ship would not copy one for me as they thought it revealed the fact that Honda makes mistakes… and we thought they were perfect? :-)

Whats up OldSchool? I just ordered the triple clamp and link to raise my hog. Link shouldn't be a problem to install, any advise on the clamp?

I guess you mean me? Oldtimer :-)

Anyway not much to it. Take off the number plate then loosen the triple pinch bolts and let the forks slide down. Try to use the correct socket for the head bolt. I think it’s a 32MM. If not an adjustable will do I guess. It’s just hard when reinstalling it without a torque wrench to get enough pressure to keep it on without binding up the steering.

Just bought a 06 CRF230 (used)- trying to make some of your recommended modifications.

    In your article you state

remove the snorkel and snorkel gasket from under the seat.

What exactly is the snorkel? Also, is anyone rerouting/disconecting the crankase blow-off?

    Thanks,

    Ed

Hello from Sunny Florida. I'm a newbie to the site so hello all! I just purchased a 2007 230F and I have been reading and researching the power up and rejet procedures all over this site and others. I'm new at jetting carbs and I relize that the intial set up is for a base line but I haven't ready any thing as far as altitudes on here. I'm pretty much at sea level maybe a little below. Is the 132 jet gonna be to much for starters. I just ordered the needle and 132 jet yesterday. It will be here Wed. If I need to step it down or up what size should I go to the next size down or up? Or skip a few numbers? Any help would be great. Also about how long does it take to install the jet and needle?

I just installed the power up kit with the 132 main jet on my '06 CRF230. It was a simple job and the bike runs great. Here are a few tips: Remove the red body panels, gas tank, seat, and number plates. Remove the carb for easy access to it. Take the single screw out of the bracket that mounts the throttle cables. That way you can get the cables off without messing with the ajdustment screws for each cable. Note: the '06 and up doesnt have any adjustment on the stock needle. I installed the new power up needle and you do not have to change the needle jet that comes in the kit. They are identicle pieces but the new power up needle is notiably thicker than the stock one which is why you need the 132 main jet. Another thing worth getting for when you make this mod is the "T" handle fuel screw. The stock fuel needle is located in the front of the fuel bowl facing straight down towards the ground. It comes stock with a "D" shaped brass adjuster which is almost impossible to get at to adjust with the bike running. Hope this helps out the novices. The mod is well worth the money. Good luck

    Hi,

I have a '06 230 and am in the process of putting in the powerup kit for the carb. I have a question though. Will it hurt the engine if I install the 132 jet and leave the stock needle in? I cant get the screw out inside the carb, its starting to strip. I dunno what else to do. Any suggestions?

    Livetoride68 ,
Are you talking about the fuel screw? If you are I have a tool i bought especially made for getting at it and taking it out and putting a CRF's only fuel screw. PM me your address and I'll mail it to you. I don't have my 230 anymore and my CR250 doesn't have this type of screw I'll help you out and give it to ya. If you do the same for someone else. I think I can afford the 41 cents to mail it to ya LOL. It fits on a 1/4" socket.

Umm when you take off the top of the carb, its that first screw in there. I dont think it takes anything special to unscrew it...but its torqued good. Dont you hate when the little stuff stops the whole factory? If I can leave the stocker needle in there, i will.

btw, thanks for the offer though :).

That would be the one! I'll see if I have that laying around. Hopefully its not too stripped :?
