I trail ride and play moto. I'm too damn old to try racing. I like to just play around and see if I can improve my cornering. I am not to excited about all the air they get these days! :) When I fall, I don't bounce any more...

I'm getting a little better everytime I go. The table in the back I was clearing no problem. Just got to get the speed out of that corner. They just changed up the track because a little ol lady is complaining about noise. Even though the track is in a zoned industial area. They are also tring to zone the back side for residential. The owner is looking into getting a lawyer. Next time I go out I'm gonna see about getting a petion started to save the place. It's a fun little track. Starting this Thursday all quads over 100CC have to run stock pipes.

Good luck on saving it. If history is any good at teaching, it will teach you that, once the noise complaints start, it's almost inevitable that the track will lose.

Well the little old lady has done it! They have offically cancelled the 2007 Race Series at my local track. and cut thursday night practice. they are only open from 11-5 during the week and 9 to 4 on the weekend. no more racing. My youngest and I were in the points lead too. Quads over 100cc are also no longer allowed either. This sucks. Freaking noise ordinances! Worse part is this little ol lady lives over a mile away from the track.

Reminds of when I was younger, My rock band was practicing at my dad's house as we always did. The cops showed up and told us to kill the noise because the lady behind us was being bothered. I come to find out that the lady is clinically deaf!!!
But she could feel the bass coming from my bass drums.

Well I think I'm just gonna sit back the rest of this year and find me another track that races ThinkI found one though. I guess the biggest thing that really ticks me off is that my youngest and I were in the points lead! I was looking forward to getting that big trophy in JAN. LOL

Well there maybe light at the end of the tunnel after all. I just learned that they maybe bringing back the 2007 series but instead of running during Saturday nights they might run it on Sunday afternoons. I'm gonna go out Sunday and see what more we can do to keppt the track open. hopefully we can get Florida Trail Riders Organization involved since they have a little more pull with thte lawyers and all. I'll Keep you all updated.

Bartow is a goos track though. just have to get used to riding in loose sand. make sure got good sand tires. I've got some good pics I can share with ya if you wanna see what it looks like. Oh my gawd, I wish I knew how to add a picture. This is a funny thread, because my 17yr old got some serious air...hurt the walnuts too...and I got a picture of him on his 230 clearing this 30ft tabletop. You can just hear the suspension bottoming out..eeech. I would love to take some suspension off of a mx bike and put on there, but I dont know which one. Any ideas? Or just stick with bigger fork springs...Dont want to invest too much money since he is a part timer.

krisrtch, I'm in Largo. How was the Dade City races this past weekend? How is the Dade City track? I went to crooms on Sunday am. I'm going to try Bartow in a few weeks. I thought about going to Dade City this coming Sat for the classes, but we ended up getting my wife a bike so we'll probably go to crooms.
