This lever will bend under a hard enough impact. Keep that in mind. They aren't bullet proof but they are about a thousand times better than stock. Will keep buying if I break mine.
Another must in my book. Stock lever bends pretty much the first time you drop the bike.

The first time I took my bike out riding after I installed this lever I almost died due to the teeth on the lever completely being stripped to nothing after a day of shifting. It completely stripped as I down shifted on the highway and I was stuck in second gear in the middle of the highway. I could have been severely injured or likely killed had I been struck by a car.
I do not recommend. Not worth losing your life for $34.19

The forged shifter has been know to bend/snap. However, look for the Hammerhead CNC machined shift lever, looks and works exactly the same but it a lot stronger but costs like $90 or something.....just saying, don`t be cheap with your bike!

Hammerhead does not make a CNC machined billet shift lever for the CRF250L. The CRF150R version has the same spline but the bend is completely different than the CRF250L shifter.

I bought this because they claimed it to be stronger than stock. I ride aggressively off road and frequently run out of talent and crash so this lever definitely had appeal. Well, I low sided in some sand at less than 15 mph and the lever bent to the point it was unusable. I had to ride all the way home in first gear. It gets two stars because it looks awesome. Unfortunately it doesn't perform as well as it looks. I just bought the MSR lever for the CRF150R (it fits the 250L). We'll see if that one fairs any better.

Awful. One knick on a rock and it bent backwards and was hanging on by a nub. Cost me a whole day of riding... Thanks hammerhead.

Looks really good but first lay down and it bent..

Bought this shifter because my oem shifter bent when I hit a tiny branch lying in the road and mainly just wanted to add some style to the bike. It's a nice looking lever and feels sturdy. Pretty simple to install, probably about 5 minutes. I just wish they had a matching brake lever. I know they have it available for 7 other bikes on here... maybe one from a 250x would fit, but I'm not about to spend $95 to find out.
