first off newbie here , just purchased a sweet pair crf 100s.
i am not even sure that they are completely broke in yet from the smells and appearance of them , but
my question is ; do you guys use sythetic oil ?
if so what is a good oil for the crf 100?
i am a mechanic and i have quite a bit of knowledge
in engines and transmissions ,but i would like to hear others oppinions on this matter .

i would put fresh mineral motorcycle oil in them(not car oil because the friction modifiers will cause the clutch to slip) and motorcycle oil is safe for wet clutches which these bikes are wet clutch bikes.

after about 10hrs of use they should be surely run in. then you can either run mineral motorcycle oil or synthetic motorcycle oil, synthetic will just be more expensive but offer better protection

i would run mineral oil if the bikes are being ridden slow and not rev to the moon, if kids are just riding them

i would run synthetic if the bikes are being ridden hard and reved high all the time

    hope this helps

and go into any motorcycle shop and they should have all the good brands of oil like maxima, motul, belray etc etc
