    Finally JD kit!! ..and..Q...

    by mxersraz » Sat Mar 14, 2009 8:20 am

    Hey crfer's!!
After a lot of searching around i found the only jd jetting dealer in Greece!! Offcourse i bought it imediately and can't wait installing it on my 250x!!!
    Some info:
I'm riding at sea level and 50-90 temp.
    my mods are:
    no baffle
    no b.f. screen
    airbox cut
    high performance air filter
    pink wire mod
    and jets(no kit):
    main jet: 150
    pilot jet: 42
    needle/clip: stock/#3 stock
Now to the :?: : my bike runs really nice without any jetting problems and good respoce.
According to JD's instructions in the kit i should: m.j.158-160, p.j.42, red needle#5
Isn't it too mutch (too rich)?? I mean.. my jets now run fine..
Thought to go: m.j.155, p.j.42, red needle#4 which JD recomends for 3000-6000 ft.
Anyone tried those for sea level??
    which jets to choose?????
Please help, i'm so confused!! :?:
I'm looking for the best reability/performance combination.
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks!!

I would follow JDs recomondations he is usually spot on. When I installed the kit I followed his recomondations and it was perfect first time. His company does so much research they know what they are talking about. The taper is diferent on the needle so the jetting always seems richer. Do what he says and it will be perfect 99 percent of the time

If you are in doubt, email JD at [email protected] or call (253) 939-7114. I know it is a hard call to make from your location, but the email will work and JD will be more than willing to help you sort it out.

    Run the 158 main.

    Run the 42 pilot.

Run the red needle on the 5th clip down from the blunt end.

Set the fuel screw @ 2 turns out from all in.

    Dialed... :D
