Hey fellas-

I'm new to this forum. Just finishing up the mods on my '07 CRF250X and my JD fuel screw is the last item to go in. The official Honda tool that removes the stock fuel screw is $106 dollars!

Is there a cheaper alternative? Thanks in advance!

It should just screw right out.

The 07's have the "D" shaped fuel screw.

Two ways of getting it out.

1) Buy the "D" socket from MotionPro for about $ 3.00

2) Use a 18-22 AWG (Red Crimp electrical butt connector) Connector. Warm one end and force it over the end of the screw. Let cool and unscrew.

The '07 and later bikes have a different OEM pilot screw and a different tool is needed to remove it.

I can't tell exactly but t looks "D" shaped. My bike is also Cal-spec but I don't think that matters.
