I would like to install handguards on my daughters 80, what guards offer the most protection and durability for the money?

Depending on the bar width you may need to go to a jr. size guard. As a result you would be limited to fewer manufacturers. Do you have to stock bars or aftermarket? What’s the width?

Both bikes have7/8 stock bars. I emailed Enduro Engineering about their handguards and they said their guards should fit both bikes. I may try them.

You can’t go wrong with EE guards. They are the old standby… Tried and true!

    Hey Kid@40,

I put a set of Pitt Posse barkbusters on both the XR100's for my boys. They are the simple alum bar design and installed great on the 7/8" bars. I imagine you could add plastic covers if you want. The boys like the look of just the bar. They were about $29 plus shipping for the set.

    Kid@40,

Yes they have held up well. They are identical to the bark busters that Moose sells. Ken, if you are reading this, you might want to source this type of bark buster for the smaller bikes.

Google Cyrcra and go to their site. Look at the Stealth Handguards. They have sizing for almost all small bikes ( 50, 70, 80, 100 etc. )

I just put on a set of Cycra's on my CRF 250X. love em!
The universal mount setup allows alot of adjustments. I bet they would work. Pricey though $99.00!

I put Acerbis mini rally brush guards on my boy's crf80. They're great and reasonable, about $60. Mounted easily and are very sturdy.
