Well both of these photos were taken at the same time, one with flash one without. Should i try a 170 main to richen up a bit? JD recomended that i try a smaller pilot (42 from a 45) because i was having a pop stall issue. it does not pop and die any more with this setup. and seems to run strong. With the 45 the fuel screw had to be set at about 1/4 of a turn. with the 42 it is set at 1 1/2 to 1 3/4. I think the pilot seems right.

The photo with the flash on looks way lean for just pulling the plug out and not doing a plug chop.

I would use the 170

You've got something else going on here.

NONE of us have found the 45 to be too large, especially with the JD kit and going into the cooler months.

My bet is that you have an extra o-ring or something up in the fuel screw.

It looks perfect for pump gas. Light milk chocolate.

45, 170, 4th clip. With hot engine slowly adjust fuel screw out from 1 turn out till deccel pop goes away, end of story.

Yeah I cut some big stuff sometimes...6 feet thick or more....I'll post some pics when I get home.
That saw is 94 cc's of bad asss saw, when its spinning 13k you better hang on! I call it Frankenhusky....it will pull a 42" bar with skip chain, thats a 36" with full comp chisel chain it eats wood!
Ok heres a couple:

My Mac has a 28" bar looks dinky compared to that monster

I had to use the DM to flip that whale...
I cut EVERY piece of that log into chunks. No Sears Crapsman 32cc saw is gonna do that...that Euc log was hard as rock and 7' thick at it widest..HUSKY ROCKS!
