Xray of My Bionic Arm - Update, 1 Yr

    by befree » Tue May 26, 2009 11:42 am

Hehe, well here it is, I finally snapped a cell phone pic of my xray at the docs today... it hurts just to look at...

Doc said today that if the pain doesn't settle down in two more weeks, they'll send me to a shoulder specialist. ??? I thought these guys were it! Apparently, once the bone docs get done with you, you get shuffled down the line to the soft tissue guys. More fun to come...

Geez Barb...I'm feeling a little let down. I was hoping to see gears and hydraulics and servos...

    Hope you get better soon!

    Barb,
Could the source of your pain be those MASSIVE 3" screws in your shoulder?? I hope you get to feeling better soon.

I wish doctors would stop using pins and screws and just go the way the rest of us fix things...JB weld and duct tape. Fast recovery to you.
    Where did they go boss?

Wow, since this thread got resurected, I'll give an update.

Life is good and I can't wait for the riding season to start! The shoulder is about 90%, I have most of my ROM, and just need to build up more muscle, which is coming along slowly. No more pain! I got a cortisone shot last fall that helped out the scar tissue a lot, and took the pressure off the nerve that was causing the pain.

Been on the bike just a little bit riding around in the field, but want to try the track again on the next practice day. Pretty nervous about that, but like a moth to a flame, I can't not go.

    :D

    Thanks everybody!
