Bass Lake, Madera Co, Central Ca

by Old Dude » Tue Oct 25, 2011 8:09 am

Got a buddy with property in the area. We built a Senior friendly MX track on his land but am having family up to celebrate my 60th birthday and am wondering about additional areas to ride in the area, Any of you guys ridden this area described as on the east side of Bass lake? Not really sure if it is called Browns Ditch but a local guy described it as south of the resort on the southeast side of the lake. Small staging area on the west side of the main hwy between North Fork and Bass Lake, at the irrigation canal (Brown's Ditch?). I have seen MTB and M/Cs staged there but was not able to stop and investigate. Rider Planet USA doesn't seem to have it listed so any info re this area would be appreciated.

Sounds like a great place to ride. You're too young and active to be turning 60! Happy early birthday my friend! May there be many many more in your future!

We are working on a network of single track stuff too. Property has big rock formations, year round creek, pines and oaks, ravines, rolling, as well as steep hills. A great piece of real estate. Will post some pix of the trails next time I go down.
