i think everyone but a few are in agreement that a perch mounted rear brake may cause a problem for the testers who won't have enough time in the saddle with it to grow fond of it. so, we'll have a rekluse z-start with perch adjuster and clutch cover but no rear brake lever.

Whatever you guys think is best. I have the entire setup, I have not put it on yet. I got it after riding a bike with one. The hand brake is real handy in some awkward situations. Like having to get your bike picked up on the side of a hill, when you are standing on the shifter side, this leaves you only the front brake. Remember, having the bike in gear wont help you hold it on the hill. The DR test guys would still have the footbrake and a small clutch lever and would not really have to use it. I just thought they would think, we were really thinking about our woods application. OFG

If I had the Rekluse I would definetly want the hand brake for the exact reason OFG pointed out. In addition it would seem extremely useful going into right hand turns and any place you may need to use your right foot for some stability. It does not seem like it would take a whole lot of getting used to other than actually remembering that it is there to use.

Crap, I get busy at work at all of a sudden Ken is famous! Geez, I missed my chance to comment. I'll make up for that with Diarrhea of the mouth now, here goes:

1. Exhaust - the lightest with the most torque off bottom. I'm no help here, I'm poor and running stock.
2. Cam - Stage 2. Especially with a rekluse. It still keeps bottom with that, right?
3. Go with fluidine, but only if you can use FLATLAND braces. I really feel strongly about that. Flatland has got some great parts that are VERY affordable and should be represented on our bike
4. Windham
5. Pivot
6. Stock

I really like the idea of the rekluse on this guy. And unlike Dust Devil I think you should go for the bling, in honor of Dobent and r0b. (Even though my poor X is very plane jane).

I'm not just saying this, but I really like the color scheme red/black on rotten robs bike. All white or all black or all red have all been done. RR's bike almost looks two tone with those black rims. It stands out.

This may sound silly, but once we get this thing screaming, why not adonize the frame red? Not too many of those around either. It may sound silly, but rr's bike with a red adonized frame would look way killer to me.

A lot of what CRFs only is about is customizing your sled, making it yours and making it shine (not for me, as you all know, but for most of you). So we really need to make this a visually stunning and unique machine.

Don't forget the "cheezeburger mountain" decal for the air box. Does anybody make spinnahs for the X? (Those were a jokes).

I do have the motion pro fork bleeders, and I agree- that is one of the neatest inventions there is out there. And affordable.

But, you may have trouble with clearance with a protaper bar if it is wider than stock.

cheeeze...thanks for the comments. we'll be using System Tech Racing bleeders as they are low and won't interfere...as an added bonus they come in RED!

Well - as long as they are red and shiny, I guess it is ok
