Ken, I would pick an overall theme, and then build on it in all aspects of the build...

For starters, what is the overall color theme? If you're sticking with Red/Black, then FOR SURE go RED RIMS...

Here's an out of the box idea though: Go for a White bike...with GOLD highlights...so white plastic, gold rims, gold scotts damper...that would be sick...

But I assume you'll go RED to keep in touch with the Honda theme...so besure to go REKLUSE.. with matching cover...
sorry ya'll, i've got back to the darkside...

but too much red is just too much red

No way Whiteman ! (That makes me feel like an Indian in an old Western )
More RED ! To me, the most beautiful dirt bikes ever were the 79-80 CR 250's with the red frame and red engines. Man, I'd love to find a really nice one for some vintage racing, something I've put off for too long, or a straight but needy one for a good baseline for restoration. Doug

ive damaged my right index finger, utility knife one, index finger zero. just got back from er...tyuping is seriously hampered. bare with me.

ernie those rims are sweet! anyone know who is doing that?

i agree that we need a theme for the bike...this is not the thread for that. this is just wheels/hubs discussion. looks like everyone is saying we do need to improve this area of the bike...for durability, weight, and appearance.

Ken and Doug, I don't know where the rims came from. I saw them at the S.F. Supercross. They look super cool though. That is the only time I've ever seen two tone wheels.

I like PIRELLI TIRES mt32f for the front, I have used a lot of front tires, this is the best all around front tire I have ever used. I cant wait till I wear out these Dunlops. mt16 rear, great traction, wears great! OFG
