What CRF Model is starring in the movie Supercross?

    by crfsonly » Fri Aug 05, 2005 10:18 pm

My teenage daughter asked a great question when she saw this picture advertising the movie "Supercoss". That question was, "Dad, what CRF is this?" I thought, here's a rare chance to impress my young daughter at her request. I confidently walked over to the computer anxious to demonstrate the superior intellect of the adult world. Before I even got a good look, the words, "honey, that's a CRF....a ah..." taking a closer look, I started again, "that's a....what the heck is that thing." She was so impressed she couldn't help but blurt out, "hey everyone, Mr. CRF's Only can't tell what CRF this is...hahahaha." Thanks Supercross the Movie!

so, I now ask you what the same question...what model CRF is this thing?

    That's definately not a CRF!!! That's a 2-smoke with CRF decals.

definitely a 125 2-stroke pipe...plus the front wheel looks like it has a mechanical odometer. the front fender and side panels look like they came off a ktm.

there is a speedo cable on the front wheel, too
does that make it an X?

    the moral of this picture:
in the pits watch you CRF closely, do not let a pumkin get close, you might not like the offspring :?:

haha...good point ev. i think that's exactly what you'd get if you crossed a ktm125sx with a crf250x....a crf125ksx. why the producers of this movie thought that would make the ultimate supercross bike i dunno.

Went and saw the movie tonight. They can change pipes fast and it is amazing how it doesn't affect their performance at all. I want one of those bikes. It would leave a jump as a 450 (R and X in different scenes)and once it cleared the lip of a jump it was a CR250R. Even the special factory bike (I forget the name now) was a 450X with R hardwear. The engine guards and skid plate give it away. Decent movie though. Good action, good footage, little fast at times and it was hard to see what was really happening. Final question.....why do they have to ruin all good action movies by putting love scenes in 'em?
